About the Canon ImageFORCE C5170
The Canon imageFORCE C5170 is an A3-size color multifunction printer/copy/scan/send/store device built for busy offices and workgroups. It can print or copy up to 70 pages per minute (ppm) in black and white or color on letter/A4-size paper, and up to about 36 ppm on A3 (11″×17″) sheet size. Print resolution is 4800 × 2400 dpi, supporting sharp text, fine lines and smooth color gradients. Scanning and copying are handled by a single-pass duplex automatic document feeder that holds up to 200 pages, with scan resolutions up to 600 × 600 dpi and two-sided scanning speed up to 270 images per minute (for 300 dpi send) or 160/90 ipm at 600 dpi (send/copy). The machine ships with 6.0 GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD (expandable to 1 TB), and supports direct printing of common file types (PDF, TIFF/JPEG, EPS, XPS) and printing via mobile/cloud protocols like AirPrint, Mopria and Canon PRINT. Paper capacity starts at 1,200 sheets (two 550-sheet cassettes plus a multipurpose tray) and can expand to a maximum of 6,350 sheets with optional feeding units. Media support is broad — paper weights from roughly 52 gsm up to 300 gsm, and sizes ranging from small custom sizes up through A3, with optional support for long sheets and various media types (plain, coated, heavy stock, envelopes, etc.).
